"... effort does not arise unless there is  resistance."  This is interesting to me because I wonder: perhaps a way to having no resistance and eliminating effort is to surrender as one fully realizes that there is nowhere to turn, no other way, no other choice.  All resistance is let go as there is no point in resisting.

But then, there is the ingrained habit, where I tend to forget that there is no choice and return to my tendency of trying to realize, trying to attain, trying to stop, trying to meditate etc.

I’d like to hear more of your thoughts about this.
