Piet's Monthly Summary

First of all, I am just delighted to see all seven of us getting so much mileage out of working with the working hypothesis. Nobody has dropped out, we all have kept up with the discipline of writing our summaries, and most importantly, we have all reported about some type of sustenance we have found in working with the wh. It will be very interesting to see in how far we will be able to compare notes in more detail about what we've found. But so far so good: we've made a very encouraging start.

During this first month, I have found various ways to engage with the wh: through combining it with my breath; through focusing on happening and pondering the notion that happening may somehow be a wrong interpretation; through telling myself that there is nothing to be done and trying to taste the implications; and by resting in the moment without sticking my neck out to the next moment.

But apart from all those different tricks and techniques, that offered themselves spontaneously at various times, there were more profound moments and periods during which the wh seemed to do itself, rather than me doing the wh. During those times all friction seemed to drop away and yet everything continued smoothly without slipping, adding somewhat of a dreamlike quality to the whole of appearance but at the same time also bringing everything into sharper focus.
